Votes of Support, Bear Hugs, and Thanks

The road I am on toward ministry candidacy and a seminary education is extremely rewarding, but what really warms my heart like a big bear hug, is when I see how much other people believe in what I am doing, and want me to succeed.  Tonight our church’s annual all-charge conference took a written ballot to officially recommend me as a ministry candidate in the United Methodist church.

The vote was unanimous.  To be clear, it was a unanimous “yes.”  That was a really big bear-hug.

My church family is … family.  I am very grateful for their support.  To my Valley View UMC family: thank you so much for all your support of my journey into ministry.
